Don reaches inside his jacket for his wallet. Roy notices that he has a white collar. He’s a priest. Don pays for his fare. Roy’s eyes meet with Don’s. There is something that Roy needs to say. CLOSE on the priest’s eyes as he understands the weight in Roy’s look.
72 EXT. FOREST - RIVER - DAWN
CLOSE on the Man’s eyes. He greets the Boy and lifts the heavy sack from his shoulders. There is a moment of relief, joy, freedom, peace.
73 I/E. ROY’S TAXI - CHURCH - DAWN
Roy finishes talking with Don (The priest). He starts the absolution...
74 EXT. CITY - WIDE SHOT - DAWN
Sunlight starts to bathe the sky, filtering down over the buildings and funneling through the streets. 75 INT. HOUSE - BEDROOM - DAWN
Doris wakes to the morning alarm. The rosary is still in her hand. She picks up her phone and dials Roy. He answers and they begin to talk.
76 INT. ROY’S TAXI - MOVING - DAWN
As Roy drives through the city, he finishes the phone call and hangs up. He wears a peaceful smile. Glances over at the purse. One more thing to do.
77 EXT. MANSION - DAWN
The taxi is parked in the driveway. Roy walks up with the
purse and places it by the front door. 78 EXT. ROY’S TAXI, OUTSIDE THE HOUSE - MORNING
The taxi parks in front of Roy’s house.
He exits the vehicle. Roy pauses as he notices his family inside. They are preparing for their day.
40 EXT. LAVISH NEIGHBORHOOD INTERSECTION - NIGHT
The taxi comes to an intersection. The stoplight turns red.
He glances over at the bills on the passenger seat.
An incoming call. The taxi dispatch office number appears on the caller ID.
Roy answers the phone, a nonchalant tone at first.
ROY Hello. What? Hold on.
Then, something perks his expression. He turns to the backseat.
ROY’S POV A black, glittery purse sits on the cloth seat. Roy’s look goes greedy.
No. no purse.
41 EXT. FOREST - NIGHT
The Boy falls. The candle rolls down the hill. He realizes the gravity of this loss.
42 EXT. LAVISH NEIGHBORHOOD INTERSECTION - NIGHT
Roy grabs the purse and searches it... He finds a woman’s wallet full with cash. Roy seems eager to have it in his hands. Eager to count the money. How much is there? Can I use those credit cards?
43 EXT. FOREST - NIGHT
The Boy picks up another log. The word Greed is burnt into the wood. He puts it in the sack. The Boy sees the wolves running toward him. He struggles to find a fire stick. They are trapped underneath all the logs. In the darkness the Boy comes face to face with a growling wolf. He is frozen with fear.
The old man from earlier (DON) stands on the side of the road, alone, below the flickering street lights. He is hailing for a taxi.
65 EXT. FOREST - NIGHT
The Lady in Blue puts the boy down. He looks at the heavy sack of logs. He struggles but finds the strength to pick it up but does. They begin to walk.
66 EXT. ROY’S TAXI - MOVING - NIGHT
The taxi stops.
Don opens the door and sits in the back seat.
67 EXT. FOREST - NIGHT
Walking, Our Lady picks up the candle and places it in the lantern. She blows into it... The flame comes into existence. The wind blows again but this time the lady covers the flame with her own cloth. They continue walking.
68 INT. ROY’S TAXI - MOVING - NIGHT
Through the rearview mirror, Roy sees the Don moving his lips as if he was praying. With curiosity, he moves the rearview mirror and sees that Don is holding a rosary.
Roy looks at the stolen purse, then his to own rosary. He seems very uncomfortable as he contemplates the weight of his decisions.
69 EXT. FOREST - PRE-DAWN
The Lady in Blue and the Boy come upon a clearing where there is a river. By the bank of the river there is a MAN waiting for the Boy with open arms. In the distance we can see the radiant kingdom on the hill.
70 EXT. CHURCH - PRE-DAWN
The cab pulls over in front of a church.

59 EXT. FOREST - NIGHT
The boy is on the verge of his demise. Scratches and blood cover his body.
60 INT. HOUSE - BEDROOM - NIGHT
Doris moves her hands across the beads, whispering her prayers.
61 EXT. FOREST - ANOTHER AREA - NIGHT
Our Lady is approaching the Boy’s position.
62 EXT. FOREST - NIGHT
The wolves hear something. They stop with their attack. Their heads jerk all in the same direction.
The Wolves peer into the darkness of the woods, waiting to see what they hope their ears did not hear.
A light cuts through the darkness between the trees. The Lady in Blue emerges from within the light. The wolves scatter away, darting into the woods in different directions. The boy is left there, bloodied and beaten.
The Lady in Blue approaches the Boy and scoops up his body. She holds the him close to her, rocking him back and forth in her arms.
The boy opens his eyes, peering into hers. PULL BACK - WIDE SHOT They sit in the woods, her holding him.
63 INT. HOUSE - BEDROOM - NIGHT
Doris continues to pray the rosary, whispering her prayers.
64 I/E. ROY’S TAXI - CITY - MOVING - NIGHT
Roy drives through the city, mostly empty now. He glances over to the passenger seat. The purse sits on top of the bills. He looks very conflicted.
Roy observes them feeling a renewed sense of love, joy and appreciation. He looks at them with eyes of mercy.
79 I/E. HOUSE, FOYER - MORNING
Roy enters. The image of Our Lady looks over him as he’s greeted by his Wife with a loving embrace. They are reconciled. The kids stop eating their breakfast and run to greet their dad.
80 EXT. SPRING FOREST - MORNING
The Boy is joyfully running through a high mountain meadow.
The Man and the Lady in Blue make eye contact. She smiles at Him and shows Him a beautiful rosary made of roses... She blows into the roses and their petals fly into the air, leading Our Lady’s eyes up to the sky...
MONTAGE from around the world.
The petals fly taking us through shots of people praying the rosary at Fatima, Lourdes, Guadalupe. Statues of Mary. Paintings. Cathedrals. People praying. Holding rosaries. Little children holding up pictures they drew of her. Inmates with Mary tatoos. Processions with her statue being held. Pilgrimages.
The rose petals fly back to the threshold of the Master house, landing on the palm of the Man’s hand. We see that he has a stigmata. He is Jesus Christ. He and the Lady in blue again make eye contact.
Close on her eyes CREDITS.
44 INT. HOUSE - BEDROOM - NIGHT
Doris opens the drawer on her bedside table. It’s cluttered.
Searching, she finds... her rosary.
45 EXT. FOREST - NIGHT
The Boy frantically searches and manages to pull out a fire stick. He lights it and the wolves take a step back, still growling. 46 INT. LOW KEY BAR - NIGHT
Roy enters and looks around. He notices a table where a group of young people are having a great time. Drinking, laughing, eating their fill.
VISION: Imaginary Roy at the table... The center of attention. Sitting back, drinking a scotch, smoking a cigar. Imaginary Roy closes his eyes with contentment. As Imaginary Roy opens his eyes, he sees Real Roy, he invites him over... offers him a lit cigar. 47 EXT. FOREST - NIGHT
(O.C. The Boy trips) CLOSE UP: The fire stick rolls on the snow and blows out. The Boy puts his pack down next to two new logs. The wolves are approaching. 48 INT. LOW KEY BAR - NIGHT
A Bartender calls out to Roy. He comes out of his daydream, approaches the bar, takes a seat. 49 EXT. FOREST - NIGHT
The Boy sits on the sack of logs. Exhausted. Defeated. He lays down in a fetal position. Surrendering himself to whatever happens. The wolves are now very close. They circle around him, ready to strike.
50 INT. HOUSE - BEDROOM - NIGHT
Roy’s wife tries to telephone him.
51 EXT. FOREST - NIGHT
The wolves are circling back around for another chance to attack. Their eyes fixed on their prey
52 INT. BAR - NIGHT
Roy watches his phone, as it continues buzzing. He turns it off...

Roy’s Wife hangs-up the phone. Its clear that he turned off his. She ponders for a moment then...
She kneels down in front of the image of Our Lady... Rosary in hand she crosses herself. Her eyes are looking upward, pleading for help, she closes her eyes.

A Woman (30), covered in a blue cloth, surrounded by light, opens her eyes.

The boy screams. His eyes are filled with terror as he flails around, trying to fight off the wolves...
