The crowdfunding campaign for EYES of MERCY begins June 20, 2016 on Kickstarter. "Using a grass roots approach to the campaign allows other Catholics to share the importance of the message," notes Crow.
The Padre Pio Foundation of America is supporting the EYES of MERCY Kickstarter campaign by offering to light a prayer candle for each person who makes a donation. Other perks for contributing include rosaries, books and advanced DVDs. Higher levels of sponsorship may receive a private screening with the director or even a small on-screen role in the film.
To transcend the barriers of language, the story is told visually with little dialogue. Director Roberto Girault (El Estudiante) explains his approach:
"The film brings the viewer into a ‘mystical reality’. People will actually see what happens within a lost soul when someone prays the Rosary for him. With state-of-the-art CGI and an international cast, we are presenting a quality faith-based film that will challenge and inspire viewers.”
The film's mission is to reignite a sense of awe in this devotion and will be distributed online for free.

Production is slated to begin this Fall with a 2017 release date that coincides with the 100th anniversary of the miraculous apparitions at Fatima. The $320,000 budget for production and post-production will provide for live action filming, specially trained wolves, integrated CGI & visual effects, an original musical score, audio mixing, and editing in time for the anticipated release.
