EYES of MERCY  is a visual experience that brings together an international cast, a dramatic musical score and state-of-the-art visual

Countless miracles have been attributed to this special prayer that began in the 13th century when the Virgin Mary gave her Rosary to St. Dominic

However, according to a Georgetown University study, of the 1.2 billion Catholics on the planet, nearly 1 billion do not pray the Rosary.  "Yet, there are 1 billion Catholics who watch at least one movie every week," says producer Dennis Crow.

effects to entertain the generation of millennials.  Through this film people will come to know  the unique relationship Mary offers each one of us through the power of her Rosary.

The crowdfunding campaign for EYES of MERCY begins June 20, 2016 on Kickstarter. "Using a grass roots approach to the campaign allows other Catholics to share the importance of the message," notes Crow.

The Padre Pio Foundation of America is supporting the EYES of MERCY Kickstarter campaign by offering to light a prayer candle for each person who makes a donation.  Other perks for contributing include rosaries, books and advanced DVDs.  Higher levels of sponsorship may receive a private screening with the director or even a small on-screen role in the film.

To transcend the barriers of language, the story is told visually with little dialogue.  Director Roberto Girault (El Estudiante) explains his approach:

"The film brings the viewer into a ‘mystical reality’.  People will actually see what happens within a lost soul when someone prays the Rosary for him.  With state-of-the-art CGI and an international cast, we are presenting a quality faith-based film that will challenge and inspire viewers.”

The film's mission is to reignite a sense of awe in this devotion and will be distributed online for free.

The Catholic Church must have a presence in cinema.  Saint John Paul II addressed this very point in 2002 saying "…Find ways to ensure that the voice of the Church is not marginalized or silenced in the modern arena of the media.  You have a role to play.... The Church must enter the great forum of the media with courage and confidence.”

Production is slated to begin this Fall with a 2017 release date that coincides with the 100th anniversary of the miraculous apparitions at Fatima.  The $320,000 budget for production and post-production will provide for live action filming, specially trained wolves,  integrated CGI
& visual effects, an original musical score, audio mixing, and editing in time for the anticipated release.
